Ack — acknowledge. Records that a named person has seen this alert, with the time. The alert stays open because the condition may still be happening; this only marks that someone is on it, and stops it escalating once notifications are switched on.

Resolve — closes the alert out and stamps who closed it. Use it once the situation is over or the alert was spurious. Until an alert is resolved, the same rule will not fire again for that aircraft, so leaving alerts open suppresses the next warning.

What these columns mean

Alt (ft): Barometric altitude, in feet above the standard pressure datum (29.92 inHg) — not height above the ground. On a high-pressure day an aircraft sitting at a sea-level airport can legitimately read slightly negative (around −100 to −200 ft). That is normal, not a fault.
Speed (kt): Ground speed in knots — how fast the aircraft is moving over the ground, including any tailwind or headwind. This is not indicated airspeed, so it should not be read against airspeed limits directly.
V/S (fpm): Vertical speed, in feet per minute. ↓ is descending, ↑ is climbing. A typical airliner or business jet descends around 1,000–2,000 fpm; 3,000+ fpm is a steep descent. Values beyond about 6,000 fpm are almost always a bad transponder reading rather than a real manoeuvre, and are flagged suspect.
Last seen: Time since this aircraft's most recent position report. live under 15 minutes, stale 15–60 minutes, lost signal over an hour. A lost-signal aircraft is usually out of receiver coverage or parked with its transponder off — the position shown is the last one received, not where it is now.
suspect: The value is outside what is physically plausible, so we show it but mark it. Treat it as a data-feed problem until confirmed another way.

ADS-B is a situational-awareness source, not a certified safety-of-flight system. Coverage gaps, delayed positions and transponder errors are normal. Never use this tool as the sole basis for an operational decision.
